What is the run down from Wilmette?

Fifteen minutes, give or take the lights on Skokie Boulevard. Lake Avenue west then the boulevard south is the usual way; Old Glenview Road and Gross Point Road make a quieter version of the same trip.

There is nothing to pay and nothing to book at the other end. The car goes on the street or on the driveway and it is still there when you finish.

The gym is my garage at home, so the street address is kept off the page. It is sent to you in the booking confirmation with directions and the door to use.

What does it cost?

A single one on one session is $68. Four sessions come to $248 and twelve to $698, and the twelve pack includes a free thirteenth. Small group is $28 a person a session, or $298 a person for twelve.

No membership, no joining fee, no free first session used as a hook. You are paying a coach for an hour and for the program that hour belongs to, and the program is written before you lift anything.

The year-round version is online: $149 for a one-time custom plan or $199 a month for coaching, both on the coaching page.

Who in Wilmette does this suit?

Plenty of Wilmette is already active in a way that has nothing to do with a barbell: tennis in the summer, running along the lake, a bike that gets used properly. Strength work is what stops those things from breaking you as the years go on.

So the fit is the runner whose hips complain in mile four, the tennis player who wants a shoulder that lasts the season, and the parent who has been carrying children and gear for a decade and would like a back that agrees with the arrangement.

Adults only, eighteen and over, and nobody who has been told by a doctor to hold off. If there is a history worth knowing about, the form is where to put it and the plan will be shaped around it.

Does strength work fit around a sport?

It should be built to. Tell me on the intake what your week already contains and when the season is, and the program is written to sit underneath it rather than compete with it.

That means less volume in the weeks that matter and more in the weeks that do not, main lifts kept simple, and accessories aimed at the joint that has been complaining. You should leave a session able to play, not wrecked.

The exercise library has an animated guide for every movement, which helps on the days you are doing the work in your own basement between coached sessions.

How does the season work?

In-person runs roughly spring through fall. The garage is not insulated well enough for a Chicago winter, so it closes when the cold arrives and opens again when it goes. That happens to line up with the outdoor season most of Wilmette already keeps.

Winter is online coaching at $199 a month, weekly check-ins, form feedback on the videos you send. A one-time custom plan is $149. The intake, the program and the numbers carry straight across.

If you find this page in September, ask before buying twelve sessions. We will count the weeks left and size the pack to them.

How do you book from Wilmette?

Use the form on this page. A couple of minutes: your goal, your days, your sport if you have one, and anything a doctor has said. I answer within two days with the address and the open slots.

Or call or text (847) 387-0244 and ask whatever you want to ask first. The Morton Grove in-person page is the long version, and the coaching application is the way in for online.

Down the shore and inland: Evanston is south of you, and Glenview is west.

Questions from Wilmette

Can my teenager train with me?

No. Adults only, eighteen and over, one on one and in the small group alike. It is a firm line and there is no version of it with a parent signing something.

I run. Will lifting slow me down?

Not the way it is written here. Strength work goes in around the running, and the aim is a hip and a calf that hold up over a season rather than a squat number to be proud of.

Can I train once a week and do the rest myself?

Yes, and it is a common way to use this. One coached session, a written program for the other days, and you send me the numbers so the next session starts from what actually happened.

What if the weather is bad on a session day?

We move it. Text (847) 387-0244 and say so. The garage is fine in a summer storm but a fifteen minute drive in one is not worth it, and the slot usually shifts to later in the week.

Can I see the prices for everything in one place?

The coaching page lists the online plans at $149 and $199, and this page carries the in-person side: $68 a session, $248 for four, $698 for twelve with the thirteenth free, and $28 a person in a small group.

Tell me what you need

No booking yet, no payment. I read every note myself and reply within two days with the address and the first open slots.

Days that work
1-on-1 or small group?
Adults only. Fitness guidance, not medical advice. If a doctor has told you to limit activity, say so in the note.
